Ich habe dieses Buch gekauft, weil ich nach meinem Master eine Karriere im Tech-Bereich bei einem IT-Beratungs- oder Softwarehaus starten wollte. Die Tipps von dem Buch, wenn auch mehr für Apple, Google, Microsoft und Yahoo gedacht, sind auch super für andere Bereiche anwendbar. Fragen mit Beispielantworten geben Inspiration selbst gute Antworten zu finden und es wird gezeigt, worauf man beim Inhalt der Antwort achten sollte.Auch wenn man kein Projekt oder Produkt Manager werden will, das Buch hat eine Menge praktischer und sehr nützlicher Tipps. Der beste: "Es sind nicht die Lebenslaufeinträge die dir einen Job erschaffen, sondern wie du sie darstellt." Mit dem Buch erfährst du, wie du sie richtig darstellst!
Highly recommended if you are prepping for PM interviews. It definitely delivers on what it promises. But it perhaps underemphasizes that there are many other good ways to skin the cat. I recommend also reading "Decode and Conquer", which will give you more example answers and offer different solid approaches/ways to think about the interview questions asked.
This is a must read, not only for Product Managers but all software analyst/engineers passionate about making a good career in Technology.Highly recommended, to crack interviews in general, because this book touches most of the general interview preparation while other parts of the book are focused primarily on product management.
This is the only book I know that covers in a very straight forward, hands-on manner:a) what does the product manager (PM) role mean in different companies such as Apple, FB etc.?b) what are core skills for a PM in different fields and industriesc) how to applyd) what a good resume should look likee) what to expect in an interviewThere are also extensive web resources. I will re-haul my resume after reading this book.
It helped me get a job in PM. I could not recommend this book enough for those who have PM interviews ahead of you or are thinking of applying to PM roles.
